The meeting was postponed until WED, MARCH 27th at 6:00pm.
One of the appellants asked City Council if they can meet at a larger venue if too many people show up, city council said yes.

So, we need to let them know how many people are planning on attending well ahead of time.
In the same place where the petition to SAVE UNR FARMS was at the main register, there is now an RSVP sign up form.
If you are planning on attending the March meeting (and you should if you care about the future of local food in Northern Nevada)

We know that there are literally thousands of people in the co-op membership base who care about this issue and who have voiced concern, signed petitions, liked/shared it on facebook and attended previous meetings.

However, it all boils down to the City Council decision.

Reno City Council Meeting will make the FINAL DECISION to allow the rezoning or deny it.

If UNR President, Marc Johnson's request to rezone the 104 acre parcel at UNR Farms is denied then the issue is finally over and we will have worked very hard for several years to save UNR MAIN STATION FARM!

Again, once this decision is made there is no going back.

Since 1967, University of Nevada has operated an abattoir/meat processing plant specializing in professor/student raised meats.
Proud to boast about their preparation areas, Wolf Pack Meats has clean, spacious and climate controlled rooms, which have received unanimous approval from the USDA. Today, both local and regional farmers and ranchers use Wolf Pack Meats to process their animals for consumption in restaurants and for retail locally.

Mike Holcomb, the facilities manager and master butcher, has been working in the meat industry since 1989 and will be our featured speaker at the event.
